5 Reasons to use the Gautrain this festive season

Listen, the Gautrain is epic any day of the year, but things are looking up for this festive season. From great discounts and R 1 bus trips, we can promise that you will find us Gautrain’ing these hols. Okay, so if you need a bit more motivation to leap on the speeding bullet – here are five…

It’s as easy as peas

Like high speed fibre connection, you get to your final destination, no hassle, no fuss, no tortoise drivers, parking hassles and the like.

Plan your trip online, with easy to understand time schedules, fare calculator, route planner and more. Check it out here…

Kids Under 12 ride for free

This is cool! If you have two kids aged 12 or under, they can ride to, or from, OR Tambo Airport for free. Fill in a simple form online to qualify for this epic deal.

Exercise bonus

Work off those extra mince pies and get your steps in by walking to catch the bus (or running if you are late). Park in the furthest parking bay, and power up the escalators like a trojan. Don’t say we don’t get creative with our festive workouts, Hello Joburgers 😉

Discounted long stay parking

Rail users get to park for 10 days for R 441 – that’s like R 40 a day – honestly that’s a pretty good deal. Just make sure you swipe the card you used on the train when you exit the parking, within one hour of disembarking.

Get on the bus for R 1

From 8th December 2017 to 14th January 2018 every single trip on a Gautrain bus is R 1. Regardless of whether you use the train or not – can anyone pop us a high five? No? Oh, you are all running for the bus…
