Our Top 5 Year End Function Venues in Joburg
It’s getting to that time of year, and of course everyone is on the hunt for the perfect spot to host their year end function. Whether you are going all out, or just planning on a lunch for your team as a way to thank them for their hard work this year – these are our Top 5 venues to do it in style…
Stanley Beer Yard
Located in the bustling 44 on Stanley precinct – we love SBY. Their craft beers, great menu and fun vibes are hard to beat – any time of the year actually.
What many don’t know about this hidden gem is that the Beer Yard is also an idyllic and very unique event venue and corporate function space. Guests are welcomed into the spacious courtyard and are treated to the finest selection of craft beer, spirits, wines and ciders on offer. The space can accommodate up to two hundred people and there are full function menus and three course dinners available to suit whatever the catering needs are.
From the rustic interior to the courtyard – the options are limitless!

Mythos – Montecasino
We adore the decor here – and the space is also super versatile. This double volume restaurant is beautifully appointed with wooden finishes and touches of blue and white décor pull through a classy, yet homely Mediterranean feel.
Upstairs the restaurant boasts two private glassed off rooms, perfect for more intimate functions and events, and downstairs the deli, where you can happily purchase all the yummy goodies that you need to take with you to enjoy later at home.
The venue seats in total 420 people, with the upstairs rooms being perfect for any event from a family celebration dinner, a board meeting, or even a year end function.

The Venue – Melrose Arch
Yet another super versatile and fun space, The Venue Melrose Arch is an upscale conference and events establishment and a definite trendsetter in transforming the function of your imagination into an unforgettable affair.
From a high ceiling to wooden floors The Venue have created a lush, decadent and elegant look. The harmonious blended colour palette of Greys, Gold and Silver with the addition of natural materials such as copper and wood, create a plush, modern contemporary feel. The large wooden doors that open to the foyer area give an almost regal feel upon entering, and when the red carpet is rolled out, one would be forgiven for thinking you had stepped in to a castle.
Transform your event in to what you have always dreamed of:

Lima Tapas bar – Montecasino
Located upstairs in the casino complex – Lima Tapas Bar keeps popping up new things we have not seen, or tasted before, every time we visit!
When you sink your teeth into this food you’ll understand why we can’t stop raving about it. Chef Justine Joseph is 24 years old and visited South America to experience authentic tapas. She’s trained at The Hilton and the Four Seasons and has worked at DW Eleven-13. She’s a gem and has commended the Latin American culture in her gastronomy.
The venue offers a variety of different seating options and nooks, as well as something for everyone, even the most fussy eaters.

The Rand Club
Rand Club is an inner-city vision, and is reputed as one of the most iconic event settings in the heart of the historic Johannesburg Central Business District.
Many unique features grace this venue… wide staircases, wooden floors and an old lift – not to mention the artworks, grand facade and unique décor that hark back to yesteryear. The truly amazing thing is that this venue functions as it was originally designed.
The Rand Club is a multipurpose venue offering various event configurations, amidst an array of old-school appeal, and allows you to set your event apart with the history and heritage that Rand Club offers.
