Bedford Centre restaurants bring it to the table

Jan 23, 2017, Author: Hello Joburg

All that festive shopping you’ve done, not to mention the New Year parties, are bound to make one hungry. Luckily, Bedford Centre has a variety of great eateries to revive hungry shoppers.

Get to the Greek!

Love a bit of a Greek nosh? Stop by Mythos and enjoy some great tapas and nibbles – wonderful for sharing with a bottle of wine, and friends of course. Mythos are award winners, and currently hold the title of Best Neighbourhood Restaurant in the Best of Joburg Awards 2016. They boast indoor and outdoor seating, and a warm and inviting atmosphere.

A little Italian

Always a firm favourite, Alora is beautifully designed around the concept of a traditional Italian village. A pretty, central fountain draws in the people walking past, while wood burning ovens and enchanting décor, as well as tables sprinkled with crisp white linen and contemporary Italian fare make this a really homey stop in.

Asian Persuasion

Get your Dim Sum and sushi cravings sorted out at Kong Sing. Complete with a sushi belt and even some products to take home with you, Kong Sing is affordable and offers a great variety on all its Asian fare.

Oh-so-saucy!

Spice it up at Salsa Mexican restaurant. We love the typical Mexican décor and the artwork behind the bar is a must-see. Every so often the sombrero’s come out, as does the tequila – and there is always a birthday being celebrated, or friends having a great time. From nachos to spicy Jalapeno poppers, to frozen margarita’s and the rest of the fixings – Salsa has you sorted.

SALSA

Something spicy

Banjaara is so well known for their tasty Indian eats – from traditional naan breads and roti’s, to bunny chows and tandoori treats, you certainly can’t go wrong. Great food for sharing and spending time with family, Banjaara is always on our list of great spots!

Quite the catch!

Everybody loves John Dory’s of course, and their awesome daily discounts and specials are really great value for money. Be it half price on hake and chips on Tuesday’s or half price sushi Wednesday’s, or even a seafood platter for sharing, you are always guaranteed to have a seaside fresh meal every time.

Got to love the pasta

Europa is another great Italian themed restaurant, complete with a Vespa scooter and all the Italian trimmings. The pasta and pizza selection will have your mouth watering from the moment you open the menu. Start with an antipasti platter and a fresh salad, or try bacon and brie burger to satisfy your hunger.

All about the brunch

Stop in at Princi Pastizza for a great breakfast special on Saturday and Sunday for only R95 – and it includes a bottomless coffee! What better way to get your energy up for a day of shopping and fun?

Insider tip – their desserts are to die for. The soft Lindt chocolate fondant is beyond heavenly if you have a sweet tooth.
