Beginning-of-summer bucket list

November 5, 2018, Author: Candice May

Hey, Joburg! While we’re sure you gave spring your best shot at having all the fun, we have to break the news to you: there’s still a ton of utterly delightful, summery action to be had in the City of Gold. So, get to it!

Cycle the CBD at night

With its beginnings in art, Maboneng has evolved into a collaborative hub of culture, business and lifestyle that entices curiosity, encourages exploration and promotes a sense of urban togetherness. Every Thursday night, Maboneng City Riders cycle around the Joburg CBD on their own bikes with the option of bike hire (including a helmet and lights) at R150 from Get Fixied bike hire in Maboneng. The rides usually start just before sunset at 5 pm and end around 7 pm. They’re casual and fun and allow you to explore the city at your own pace.
