SA Fashion Week heads your way from 28 March – 1 April once again at the super trendy Park House of Events in Hyde Park. This will be the Spring Summer ranges from some of South Africa’s top clothing and accessory designers and is not to be missed.
Hello Joburg got to sneak behind the scenes, in to the design room of legendary ladieswear designer JJ Schoeman to see what was on the tables, sewing machines and the mannequins, for his range.
JJ has been creating fashion memories, and history for 30 years, and has dressed some of SA’s (not to mention international) models, celebs and personalities for events and high profile red carpet events that would make your mind boggle.
JJ has lead the way in shaping the fashion industry in South Africa, a veteran in conceptualizing local African Designs that have graced the streets of International cities, and dressing some of the world’s most beautiful women, among them Yvonne Chaka Chaka, Bonang Matheba, Miss World – Rolene Strauss and current Miss South Africa Ntando Kunene…and more.
Okay – so what can we expect? Lets just say that florals and bright colours are are back in a big way, and JJ has made the decision to cater to all of his clientele – different body shapes and sizes, as well as showcasing a very cool dress, that through the clever use of fabrics and folds, will suit just about everyone – looking forward to seeing this on the run way.
JJ’s show is on Thursday 30th March at 20h00 – make sure to book your tickets!
