Carnival City is evolving its dining and entertainment landscape, starting with the newly renovated bar, Bru’s.
If you’re looking for a trendy, friendly spot to meet, eat, drink and relax in absolute style, then Bru’s should be your first stop.
Carnival City is in the process of revitalizing most of its spaces, including the grassy playground, Pocket Park; a number of family friendly restautrants, including Spur and Panarottis, and the newly launched upmarket steak restaurant, Harvest Grill and Wine. There’s a little something for everyone who visits Carnival City.
The brand-spanking new venue that houses Bru’s was designed to tantalize and entice the senses with its industrial yet modern look and feel. “No penny has been spared in this industrial cosmopolitan venture. The décor is beautiful and trendy and it will soon be among the top establishments in Johannesburg,” explained Annemie Turk, General Manager of Carnival City. It’s easy to see why too … the place is decked out with gorgeous copper embellishments and smooth wooden tables and a cool, circular bar.
Guests can expect a laid back atmosphere with live entertainment from various artists, bands and comedians every Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Perfect for after-work drinks, parties and schmooze sessions. Nothing cracks a deal better than a barrel of laughs.
Bru’s also has bragging rights to a divine contemporary menu – think pulled pork burgers, sweet and sour chicken pizzas, bunny chow and even ‘monster dogs’. This is nothing compared to their drinks menu … have your pick from a variety of wines and beers, specialty cocktails and lip-licking shooters.
Complex Executive Chef, Rylan Ramsamy brings his own flair to the restaurants he works in … which are most of the ones within the Carnival City complex. “Food and beverage is an extremely important element in overall entertainment offering, our food and drink offering must enhance the experience – morning, noon, and night,” comments Ramsamy.
Bru’s is open from noon to 11pm on Mondays through to Thursdays, from noon to 2am on Fridays and Saturdays, and from noon to 10.30pm on Sundays.
