Cosy up this season with Level Four’s new winter menu

Hello Joburgers, 54 on Bath has levelled up their culinary game with a mouth-watering winter menu and a brand-spanking new dining experience at the ‘Chef’s Table’.

Every new menu concept at Level Four is inspired by the season and the new winter selection is no different. With meals that appeal to the most discerning foodies the dishes on offer have been created to specifically suit the chilly weather by focusing on a sense of comfort that excites the palate and warms the body – and, if your expectations are at an all-time high after reading that, good! That’s exactly where they should be.

The new menu was created by Foxon together with his sous chefs, Lutendo Funyufunyu, Lefa Mosana, Precious Malebye and Albin Nel and incorporates the restaurants’ tradition of using sustainable and seasonal ingredients. With everything from ‘Buffalo Ridge’ mozzarella with pumpkin jam, hazelnut, and black truffle to excellent winter warmers like the 200g ‘Black Angus’ fillet, osso buco, spinach puree, chard and sweet potato, diners will be treated to a mouth-watering taste sensation. Deserts will continue on the trend with rich and tantalising options like Gold’ caramel mousse, sour cherries and sorbet; dark chocolate fondant, spiced caramel, macadamia and rum ice cream and lemongrass and ginger ‘crème brulee’ with lime, coriander and pineapple.

Along with the launch of their wintery food delights Level Four has also introduced a Chef’s Table that’s been specially crafted around accommodating an intimate group of guests who will be treated to an experience where they can witness the kitchen ‘theatre’ unfolding. This culinary show will take visitors on a first-hand kitchen journey from the preparation and cooking of dishes to the plating and ordering process for an in-depth and behind the scenes event. The special six-course ‘chef’s choice’ menu promises to inspire and delight guests and, insider info, includes a surprise seventh course served with love from the chef as well as a bottle of Pierre Jourdan Brut and wine pairing with four of the courses. At just R1,200 per person, this is definitely something you DON’T want to miss out on.
