The look is semi-industrial and the vibe is high-energy across both levels. Upstairs is warm and cosy, while downstairs is noisier and the vibe spills out onto the street. Wherever you manage to find a table, start off with a round of Thyme to Fig Out cocktails – a refreshing combo of Bombay Sapphire, fig, thyme, lemon and Pongrácz. The Pineapple & Pepper Margie and Berry Grande are equally delicious.

Then, order a few of the Kickstarters to share – grilled or fried calamari, sticky BBQ or crunchy peri peri chicken wings, mac ’n cheese bacon bombs and our personal favourite, toasties crammed with mozzarella, truffle oil, truffle aioli and prosciutto. For mains, try the Mac Attack: An utter meaty marvel made with a juice-seeping beef patty topped with a mac ’n cheese bacon patty that’s humming with flavour. The vegetarian pizza is another top choice – adorned with aubergines, mushrooms, red onion, tomatoes, red peppers, feta and basil pesto, it’s far more complex in creation than it’s given credit for.
