April was alive with all things festive and Easter themed at Westgate Shopping Centre. Between 12 & 14 April, you could get your dose of chocolates, sweet treats and celebrate Easter in the true African spirit
Daily entertainment was provided to all shoppers at no cost with The Carnival Company parading throughout the mall with their stilt walkers, marching band and street performances for the whole family to enjoy. The Beacon Easter Bunny arrived on the 13th to hand out free Easter eggs to all shoppers in the newly renovated food court whilst they took a selfie at the photobooth with the bunny himself. 30 lucky shoppers would win themselves a movie & snack combo which was sponsored by Nu Metro Westgate.

Westgate Loves Kids over Easter! The Children from St. Lawrence’s Children’s Haven were invited to a day of fun and entertainment, a true special treat for those kids who’ve been placed in their care. These children received free outdoor carnival rides with Blanche Wonder World, games & entertainment with The Magic Company and an incredible lunch sponsored by West Peak Spur Steak Ranch.
Westgate Shopping Centre was filled with Pop Up Easter displays for shoppers to enjoy. This included Beacon Easter Eggs, Lindt Chocolates and Cadbury treats. Checkers partnered with Frey Chocolate for their nationwide scavenger hunt to find their giant Easter Bunny to win daily hampers to the value of R250 each!

For those shoppers who had their very own “staycation” in Jo’burg over the Easter Holidays, Westgate Shopping Centre opened its doors to everyone to win a dream getaway. The theme was Spend – Hunt – Win where two lucky winners who completed the Easter Egg Hunt would win themselves and their families a luxury family holiday to the value of R15,000 each sponsored by Leisure Portfolio Association.
Westgate was the ultimate Easter entertainment destination in the West Rand.
