Johannesburg Pride Parade and Festival
From the atmosphere to the outfits to the camaraderie, you really can’t replicate a Pride Parade and Festival. It’s a celebration of all of us, and the fact that the event outgrows its original venue to due increased attendance year on year (bye-bye Melrose Arch and hello Sandton!) proves that it’s a must-attend kinda occasion. Food and drinks will be available in the Pride Village and there will be cashless payment solutions to spend at the various stalls, although your cash dollar will still be good to go. PS: Don’t miss the much anticipated after-party at Babylon – The Joburg Bar in Illovo afterwards!
When: 26 October 2019 from 11h00 (the actual parade is set to leave from the assembly point at 14h00)
Where: Corner of Rivonia Road and West Street, Sandton

Carly has a decade of wild, weird and wonderful experience in the media industry. After graduating from Rhodes University with an honours degree in journalism and politics, she tried to change the world as a journalist. She helped launch the country’s first integrated newsroom at Times Media (then called Avusa). After getting bored of politics and news, she joined forces with a brand activations and event company before joining a global PR agency – WE Worldwide as a Senior Account manager. This is her dream job but she still loves to be fancy with words and interview cool people so she writes for Hello Joburg.
