When did you realise your passion for cooking?
When I was a kid and used to cook for my brother and his friends. My career as a chef then started in 2015 when I started studying a Diploma in Culinary Arts.
What’s been your proudest professional achievement so far?
Meeting and interacting with some high-profile people. I’ve also been very lucky to have moved up in the Marble group so quickly – each promotion has been a career highlight for me.

How do you spend your off days?
Sleeping and recovering from the previous week. Being a chef is very demanding, but well worth it! I also enjoy playing golf and reading culinary books.
Where do you hang out in Joburg?
My favourite place to head to after a busy service is Sin+Tax, a bar just down the road from Marble in Rosebank.
