Be inspired, grab the gals and go on a hike

Where: Krugersdorp Game Reserve
What’s to be expected: This is a journey where you will be physically and mentally challenged. Arise is a 3-day hike in teams, where women from all walks of life discover their true identity and worth. Ladies take note; you will have to turn over your watches, phones, wallets and car keys. Only the items on the packing list provided are allowed, no extra food, cigarettes or alcohol. You’ll walk considerable distances carrying your backpacks with all equipment.

Run for a good cause at the Run For Hope
When: September 9th
Where: Four Seasons Hotel The Westcliff
What’s to be expected: September is childhood cancer awareness month, so this is the perfect justification to keep fit and give back on the same day. There is a CHOC Childhood Cancer Foundation SA 5km and a 7.8km option and delicious gourmet food available after the race. So what are you waiting for HJ, this promises to be the best Sunday Funday.
Fitness level required: Mild- if you can walk 5km this will be a breeze.

Take a Latin & Ballroom Technique Class with bae
When: September 8th, 15th and 22nd
Where: Five6seven8 Dance Studio, Fontainebleau Village, Corner Rabie Road & Fourthlane St, Fontainebleau.
What’s to be expected: Not only do they offer more than ten different dance styles, but they also offer a free trial for their group class per dance style. It doesn’t matter whether you’re 18 or 90; they cater for all ages and all fitness levels from beginner to advanced.

Partake in a Jozi jol/workout in foam at The Foam Run SA
When: September 30th
Where: Reddam House, Waterfall, Midrand
What’s to be expected: #FoamRun5k is going to be the most exciting run you’ve ever been on! Billions of bubbles, colored foam, and music to keep you on your toes and not forgetting the Finish Festival. There will also be Foam Run merchandise for sale on the day, a fitness session and awesome performances for all ages.
Fitness level required: Beginner- if your 10-year-old can do it, so can you.

Marvel at the Suikerbosrand in a social cycle
When: September 2nd, 8:30am-12: 30am
Where: Suikerbosrand Nature Reserve, Heidelberg
What’s to be expected: Cycle Cradle and Beyond invite you to join them as they take to the hills… The good news for amateurs is you can cycle as slow as you want and take as much time as you want. Ideal and fun for those wanting to strengthen their climbing skills while socializing and meeting new people. The route is SAFE; a one-way loop on tar. There is a 64km route and a shorter 45km route.
Fitness level required: Mild but you must know how to ride a bike obvs.
