It’s time to crank Cyndi Lauper and swipe on some lipstick! Sometimes girls just want…
Hello Joburgers, we all know how expensive date nights can be… dinner, drinks, movies we could go on. But they don’t have to be. And no, we’re not going to suggest another night in, watching Netflix and ordering Ubereats, because Silverstar’s night out for two deal is back!

In terms of the meal, we suggest you go to Col’Cacchio because it definitely offers the best value for money. You can choose one starter to share – either Pizza Bread with Mozarella, San Siro Salad or Greek Salad. You’ll also be able to choose two mains out of a selection of six pasta dishes and five pizzas. It’s worth noting that most of the pizza options are very basic and three of the options are vegetarian, which – to be honest – is fine by us. What’s even better is that you also get one dessert to share- either a chocolate pizza, Italian kisses, Meringa or chocolate brownies.
Overall, the dinner selection is impressive and you’d be hard pushed to have three courses at Col’Cacchio (even if two of them are shared) for R250. Obviously, you have to buy your own drinks, but that seems very fair. Plus, we just love the food at Col’Cacchios!
If you choose Spur or Aarya on the other hand, your options are far more limited as each of these restaurants only offer one main course each. At Aarya you can choose between a quarter tandoori chicken with chips, a selection of two medium wood fire oven pizzas, served together with a salad to share or an Indian vegetable biryani. Spur only has two options of either hake and chips or a 200g Chargrilled rump/sirloin and a choice of a side.
Despite, the dinner dilemma, all of the entertainment options are fantastic and there’s guaranteed to be one that will suit everyone. Otherwise you could always see this as an opportunity to try something a bit different!
As for the vouchers that come with the deal, they’re also pretty good and we think that they might even warrant a soy candle massage at Soulstice Day Spa.
Overall, it really is a fantastic date night – with great value for money – but would be equally good for any pair, whether it be your mother, sibling or just a friend!
