If the sound of succulent Mozambican-style prawns, creamy chicken livers or a hearty beef prego…
Hello Joburgers, we have big foodie news! Le Petit Chef has chosen Joburg as his 29th city abroad to join him in 3D world travel, accompanied by a six-course date night on steroids.
After astounding diners from London to Toronto to Dubai, Le Petit Chef of DinnerTimeStories fame has voyaged to the southern hemisphere for the very first time. The six-course dining and entertainment experience is now at a tabletop near you as he has set up residence at the Faircity Quatermain Hotel in Morningside, Sandton.

Bookings are obviously open, but be quick – Le Petit Chef is a pop-up restaurant, and so he disappears at will. Join the tiniest chef in the world on a colossal 3D immersive dining spectacular as we track his journey through the Silk Route of Asia, following in the footsteps of the intrepid explorer, Marco Polo.
The spice-infused six-course dining experience will begin with a complimentary glass of champagne with diners also having the option of a wine pairing, all especially chosen to complement the dishes served.
This is an experience to be shared at communal tables of eight and twelve, with only 52 guests per show (while still boasting this being the largest global event yet). The menu is never disclosed beforehand, but rest assured that awardwinning Executive Chef Tristan Latouf takes care of the culinary delights of the evening.

There is vegetarian, vegan and halaal- and kosher-friendly options too. Everything the diner will be experiencing is authentically sourced from the country of origin, making this the most affordable way to travel and taste your way across a continent, visiting Arabia, India, the peaks of the Himalayas and finally, China, before returning to the point of origin, Marseilles, France.
PS: one of Le Petit Chef’s sponsors is the luxurious Air France, who have added some additional incentive (as if an Instagram-worthy six course meal and techno-dazzling entertainment while the tiniest chef prepares your meal on your plate before you isn’t incentive enough?). All patrons are automatically entered into a draw to win two flights with Air France to Marseilles, the home of Le Petit Chef. The draw will happen when Le Petit Chef packs his bags, but he hates to plan travel in advance. Book early on Computicket for the bragging rights – the show truly needs to be seen to be believed.
