Let’s be honest – we could all use a cash injection – but can you just imagine what you would do with R5 million?
Imagine no more, because it could be yours in Tsogo Sun’s first-of-its-kind gaming promotion – The Challenge.
For the first time ever in a Tsogo Sun casino promotion, R5-million will be won by one lucky player, for whom luxury holidays, chartered yachts and spending sprees in the fashion capitals of the world will become a reality.
Taking place across Tsogo Sun’s three Gauteng casinos – Montecasino, Gold Reef City, and Silverstar – from 1 April to 2 July, The Challenge, consists of weekly prize draws at each of the casinos. In addition to the names drawn in the weekly draws, bonus tickets per tier will be drawn, allowing those selected to automatically go through to the Mega Draw, with the chance to win R5 million
Unit finals will be held during the last week of June, with a total of over R4.5-million in cash to be won. Then it’s on to the Mega Draw on 2 July when one lucky winner will walk away with R5-million in cash! In total, a whopping R15-million in cash will be given away over the course of the promotion.
Says Steve Hight, Tsogo Sun’s Gaming Director, “Cash prizes have always held tremendous appeal to players, so we decided to go the extra mile and add to the thrill of the game by offering a massive cash prize over and above regular pay-outs, in line with the group’s commitment to creating memorable experiences.”
To qualify for entries to The Challenge, guests are required to earn points by playing slots or tables and earn points. The rolling points earning period starts on 1 April 2017 and points are carried over for all draws in the entire three months of the promotion, with separate weekly draws for Black, Platinum, and Gold cardholders. There will be no cap on the number of entries per draw for any tier.
Five finalists will be drawn at each draw and will need to present themselves on stage within 90 seconds from the time of announcement, presenting their valid ticket receipt and appropriate ID. Additional bonus tickets will also be selected at each tiered draw at each casino.
The Black card unit final will take place on 28 June at each of the three properties, with three finalists sharing R1-million. The Platinum card unit final, with R350 000 to be shared between three finalists, and the Gold card unit final, with R175 000 shared between three players, will take place on 29 June, at 8pm and 8:30pm respectively.
And finally, on 2 July 2017, two players from each of the three properties will compete for the grand cash prize of R5-million in the Mega Draw; while the runners up will each win R50 000 in cash. Adding to the excitement of the event, the Mega draw will be hosted simultaneously at each property with made possible by live video links.
Says Hight, “We wish every player the best of luck as they enjoy the entertainment that this new Challenge is bringing to Gauteng.”
